My name's Thomas. I'm 18 years old, in Kentucky and looking to travel around this summer.

I've hitched about 600 miles so I have a little bit of experience.

I'm volunteering at Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, maybe Electric Forest, and I plan on checking out the Rainbow Gathering.

I'm wanting to head out west anytime after May 18. I was thinking Portland but anywhere is fine. I'm looking for someone who has atleast as much experience as I have.

I have a good head on my shoulders, I'm reliable, and I won't jive you.

I will be at Wakarusa, before going to Des Moines, Chicago, and Asheville, NC. I may be at the Rainbow Gathering, but my next planned destination is Austin. Electric Forest ends July 1, and that is about when the Gathering "begins", I suppose.

I would be open to hanging around at the Gathering longer than I intended to meet up with you before heading to Austin, but I will be going to San Diego, Big Sur, and San Fran before Portland, and I will be visiting people on the way. I'm not in much of a rush except to be in San Diego by the second week of July.

I was planning on doing this trip mostly alone, but I am open to the idea of a westward stretch with someone else. I'm 19, from CO. I don't have much experience now, as I've only hitched locally, but by the time I get to the Gathering, I'll have quite a bit under my belt. Let me know if you're interested.
