Arizona!

I'm ridesharing outta LA in about a week and my destination is Arizona. I'll be hitchin clear across I-10, eastbound from Arizona. The problem is that I don't know where in Arizona (along I-10) I should get dropped off.

Quartzite? Phoenix? Tempe? Casa Grande? Tucson? Any places worth taking a detour to? Any places should I avoid?

Thanks in advance!

Quartzsite ought to be easy for rides, once you get into the Phoenix metro, it was hard for me...didn't know about the truck stop though.
check this and see if you can find an answer there:

Thanks for that link Laz - I was under the impression that most truck drivers were forbidden from picking up travelers. I spoke to a truck driver in St. George Utah who told me that things have changed and not many truck drivers can pick up a hitcher without getting canned. Do you know anything about this?

Ever stopped in Tempe? I understand that it's a college town, and I'm a young guy so I'm interested in checking out the scene there. Any thoughts on that?

the driver told you the truth, but more than truck drivers stop at truck stops.
if you do get a ride from a trucker, he'll be an owner-operator.
never been to Tempe, but college towns are mostly laid-back.
