[b:dcd26eca4e]TIP:[/b:dcd26eca4e] I carry a small compass which I use each evening before pitching my tent to pinpoint where sunrise will be on the horizon. In winter, I position the tent so it will catch the sun's first rays. In summer, I position the tent so it will be shaded. Monitor and adjust your readings as both the seasons and your location shift.
