Great story! I'm living in Vancouver, and planning on hitching up to Alaska, then east and SE to the east coast. Then either west across the plains, or south into the States.

I've hitched most of NW Europe, so it'll be nice to take in MY country. Did you find it cold much up there? I mean, in the summer I was able to wear a t-shirt and shorts in Norways Arctic Circle, so I don't imagine it's overly bad in our North... During the summer months.

I would say in June it would be great weather....no bugs...bugs are a problem when hitchhiking in the north...There is ALLLOTT...just make sure to have deet if your going later in the summer and a bug net in your tent if you have one!Thumbs Up
