I was walking through Buffalo, Wyoming a year or so ago and I found this real nice Leatherman multi tool laying on the shoulder of the highway. It is in real good condition. I really don't use it that much.

A Classic Mora, the quintessential Scandi knife.
A hatchet, occasionally.
Sometimes a Kershaw Blackout.
Always an SAK.

I like to keep things varied. I have a good amount of knives to choose from.

Leatherman with screwdriver/pliers included, for can opening and scavenging - I lost the chance to pull a 250GB hard drive out of a curbed PC case recently by not having this on me.

A large folding knife for everything else: food, cutting plastic/cloth/cardboard/rope, and yahoo deterrence. This knife stays open-carried outside of a very few situations where respect for a peaceful environment dictates I put it in the pack.

Mora is great value, picked up a carbon steel "clipper" for 16$ few weeks back, needed a beater knife but seriously you can trust your life to these.

I have no idea what make it is ...
but
I carry a flip opening lock knife. It's all metal with a 8cm blade which has a saw at the bottom. Nothing too flashy but it hasn't failed me to date.
In the service of General Cuckoo.
