There's a Ben Harper song, on his last album with the Relentless7...it's a powerful song. And goes through my head often, which helps without music readily available!

[quote:d380b8aef5="bote"]I went Vancouver to Alaska with Neutral Milk Hotel "In the Airplane over the sea". It remains a pretty special album, I would say a classic. If you're going to check it out get the full album, though the individual songs are good, it needs to be experienced as a whole I think.[/quote:d380b8aef5]

I love Neutral Milk Hotel, that's a brilliant album to listen to while traveling. I listened to it on my way to Spain last summer.

You read my mind completely.

I'd also say anything by The Books or Against Me! in general. Tim Barry's pretty good as far as Southern stuff goes. Twenty-Two Fourteen by The Album Leaf. Tunng's pretty good too. Fink and Tommy Emanuel are both good.

levon helm. he is absolutely amazing to listen to. here is a link of his song. i kinda feel hitch-hiking gives the feeling you are looking for something and trying to reach it but the destination moves form one magic place to the next. but yeah this song really epitomises that feeling. give it a listen :). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm2_7o8DGtI
