Texas to Mexico and eventually South America

Postby ToMexico » July 15th, 2006, 2:39 pm

am planning on leaving soon to hitchhike/backpack to Mexico and make my way to tour South America.

I am looking for advice, and perhaps someone to accompany me.

I have been to Mexico under normal travel arangments many times and I understand the culture very well. Mexicans are very nice people for the most part. However, I know minimal spanish. Anyone willing to help out. Please feel free to have a holler

Thank you,
Ryan

Well I made it to Monterrey, Mexico three days ago. I am staying at a hostel called Monterocco. It is VERY nice. $13USD a day. Swimming pool, lockers for important stuff, laundry, in a very safe part of the city. The main part of the town is a 17 pesos ride in a taxi $1.70USD roughly. If anyone gets this way on an economical vacation this is the place to stay. It is used by exchange students almost exlusively so the people are very nice. Right now I am with people from Holland, England, France, and some from another part of Mexico.

I wont be leaving for awhile so I guess consider this buddy request null unless you wanna hang in Monterrey for a few months.

Have fun guys and gals!
