We as hitchhikers must be self-regulating. Follow the Golden Rule: do to others only what you would want done to you.
And keep in mind that with a smaller amount of us on the roads, each of us is like an Ambassador of this way of travel. What we do does affect future hitchhikers. Smile, show respect and inspire people to give hitchhiking a second look!
