In the summer of 2007, 5 of us got together north of Mammoth Lakes, CA over the July 4th Holiday.

I would very much like to sponsor another event that is more widely know. The elevation is about 8000' so it is cool enough to enjoy what would normally be a hot time of year.

Redford, Evan, CEO, and Marty were in attendance last time.

Where do I go from here to promote this?

Suzan and I would provide a 4th of July Dinner.

The Location is off of Hwy 395 in between Mammoth Lakes, CA and June Lake, CA. http://www.hikercentral.com/campgrounds/114562.html] Glass Creek

It's around 8000 feet and comfortable during the day and cool at night. There are a lot of hiking trails in the area as well as trout fishing.

Water is about a mile a way, but Suzan and I will make sure there is enough water for Sat and Sunday for everyone.

We originally thought that we'd do a Saturday breakfast and a Saturday Dinner. We think it'd be a better idea to do a Saturday evening dinner and a Sunday Morning Breakfast.

Suzan and I were camphosts this last summer here, and the forest service is making a lot of changes. They weren't very good to us and we won't be camp hosting again there. Another thing that might be an issue is that Glass Creek will be packed over July 4th. I am thinking of an alternate location, but the other two places are quite a hike off of 395. The other places are Hartley Springs and Big Springs. Big Springs has a natural spring that people actually drink from.

I would like some ideas. Last summer was very spontaneous and Suzan and I were having stress issues. Everything seemed to really come together nicely though.

We want to plan things out more this year and hope to start a Summer tradition at Digihitch.

We really want to promote this and get an idea of how many people are coming and we want everyone to have a good time.

Oh, one last thing... Suzan and I (me especially) really don't dig alcohol and what it does to people. We probably won't want to be around it. Last year it got a bit out of hand (not people, the alcohol usage). It really makes us uncomfortable. We don't want to alienate anyone. It is apparent that everyone but us drink.
