That was a great post, WildWill. Avoid cities like the plague. It's always best when you know when to tell the driver you need to get off at this ramp in the boonies with a massive truck stop rather than get out in some urban concrete jungle where people are looking at you like you're raw meat.

i agree about cities. perhaps the best advice to impart to any hitcher: stay out of cities. if you get stuck at
one end, take mass transit as far as you can go to the other end.
