not officially. a lot of people (u.s. government included) suspected that castro was leaning that way before jfk was in office. but, he didn't actually declare cuba to be a communist state until then. and, i think he did so mostly to piss us off and make friends with the soviets.

Flying out of new zealand july 17th to start hitch hiking east in Canada, at least get as far as New York till I have business to take care of come late november. Would like to get all the way to PEI but I like to doodle and take my sweet sweet time. Looking forward to feeling the prairie winds!
