Must-see for anyone considering bicycle touring

Postby NattookRuJunuik » October 5th, 2008, 6:55 pm

check out Ken Kifer's Bike Pages. (he toured all around the US and world from the 60's up to 2003. most articles' focus on cheap and creative ways to go about touring and cycling, but there are also articles on bicycle repairs, stealth camping, and the politics of cycle touring) the most effective info i've gotten on bicycle touring has come from this site.

POINT IS THIS : THIS SITE IS A GREAT RESOURCE.

This IS a great website and resource. It's a tragedy that some punk should take the life of someone like this guy. He gave back so much to others. Thanks for posting this link.
...and they lay down behind me
to sleep beside the road, till the morning has come,
where they know they will find me,
with my maps and my faith in the distance,
moving father on.

I like that site and what he stands for.

During a critical mass (at least the ones in philly), cyclists will usually hold up cars at intersections and not obey any traffic laws. I think it does nothing but give us a bad name.

Now, that's not to say that I don't go through a red when nobody is around, but come on... :D
