if it's as a tool or for protection, you dont need too much of a knife unless you feel comforted with the large size, or you wish to use it more to intimidate. You don't need too much! remember, keep things as necessary and let the law pass right by. You can kill someone by getting only a few centimeters in. Keeping it sharp is more important (both as a tool and other) than it's size.

A wise old hobo saying: "Keep your knife in your pocket and your money in your shoes."

Trying to intimidate somebody with a knife is a bad idea. Once you show a weapon, you had best be intent upon using it, because the other guy is going to believe his life is in danger. My rule of thumb is to make EVERY EFFORT to leave the scene of a conflict without any violence, but if a man [i:b6d3298c50]makes[/i:b6d3298c50] me fight him, then he is going to get what's coming to him, and I intend to do my best to put him in the hospital at the very least.

I am not by nature a violent person. I think the best possible course of action is to avoid any and all situations in which you might wind up in a fight. However, if you do wind up in a fight, do whatever is necessary to make sure that you win. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FAIR FIGHT. Fighting is combat, and combat is for keeps. Anybody who values his life had better leave me alone.

I'd like to but how can I keep a Ka-bar knife in my pocket?
By the way I just got one. [i:9637755e40]A knife that is not a pocket.[/i:9637755e40]

:D Withoutatrace

PS: I would not use a knife in a fight, unless the other guy was armed, but I have noticed that having a big knife on your belt does get the bad guy thinking about not bothering yer.

let's say you have a concealed carry permit and you get caught trespassing in a state where you have reciprocity. how does it come into play when getting charged?
