North Spain - Portugal - South Spain - Africa

Postby kabuki_mono » December 13th, 2011, 11:13 am

Friday morning! That's the date I'm back in the game. Finishing the Pilgrims Way,then down to Lisboa and from then taking a peak of Southern Spain a little before jumping over to Morocco. I'll resurface regularly while in Portugal and Spain - When in Africa .. That's different story :)

All this from the saddle of my bike again ([i:330dd9ee68]obviously[/i:330dd9ee68] :p)

North of Spain finished, intense but finished. Portugal has given me a nasty flu and a [i:f4a1e6415e]serious[/i:f4a1e6415e] neck sprain, apart from that all is dandy! :)

How is the hitching in Spain, I've heard it's harder than most European countries? It's on my to do list though, the landscapes look interesting.

How long are you going to be in Spain, or that area? I'll be heading to Europe sometime around June 15th, and i'm eventually going to stay at a family friends' commune type thing for a room and board sorta deal, and use it as a base to explore that area of Europe! Morocco, too.
Not all those who wander are lost.

I haven't been hitching but cycling. But I've hitched Spain before, erm ... it used to be much harder than what it is nowadays. Specially the North - certain parts prove to be tricky. Anything between The Basque Country and Barcelona is a difficult time. At least from my experiences. took me two days to do the 600ish km ..
But as I said - no were near as hard as it used to be.
Landscape is awesome!! the contrast is insanely beautiful!

I'll be in Europe for a while yet. Unless I find a way to get across the pond without cash on my behalf involved. Currently going to head back up North, but if I don't find any vessels who need an extra guy - I'll be heading back to where I was maybe promised a boat across the pond. I'll be around ;)
Granada has a huge hippy commune and nice place to stay if you're down that area.
